Na základe pretekárskej technológie funguje spojka Assist & Slipper ako obmedzovač spätného krútiaceho momentu a ako servomechanizmus, ktorý umožňuje ľahšie stlačenie spojkovej páčky.
Na základe spätnej väzby z pretekov používa spojka Assist & Slipper Clutch dva typy vačiek (pomocnú vačku a vačku slipper), ktoré poháňajú spojkový náboj a ovládacie platničku buď spoločne, alebo oddelene.
